About Me

I am a Chicago-based community development leader, writer, & strategist.

With ten years of experience designing and managing programs, fundraising, and building meaningful partnerships, I am passionate about strengthening communities and advancing policy change. I have led community development initiatives in a variety of environments including non-profits, universities, and city government. As a manager, I build a team culture based on trust, accountability, and empathy.

I am currently Chief Operating Officer at TREND Community Development Corporation, a non-profit committed to strengthening urban neighborhoods and building community wealth through inclusive community development. As the organization’s first and only full-time employee, I lead the organization’s operations, programs, fundraising, reporting, compliance, and human resources functions.

In 2021, I received a Master's in City Planning from MIT’s Department of Urban Studies and Planning where I studied affordable housing and economic development. In 2014, I received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago where I studied psychology and public policy.

I enjoy doing Crossfit, cooking, listening to podcasts, admiring public art, and exploring cities by foot.
